For decades, NASA innovations developed for space missions have made their way into the lives of people with disabilities here on Earth. NASA has a long history of contributing to this field including, cochlear implants, low-vision devices, and mobility rehabilitation equipment.
To expand awareness of these advances and demonstrate new opportunities, NASA Technology Transfer Expansion (T2X) has contracted with StemComm Ventures to host the Assistive Technologies Startup Summit— a first-of-its-kind event for forward-thinking entrepreneurs and innovators to leverage NASA’s groundbreaking innovations and build the future of assistive technology.
The summit will take place on December 5-6 in Alexandria, VA, bringing together a dynamic network of entrepreneurs, leaders, and advocates to explore NASA's assistive technology portfolio. Registration is free, but space is limited.
Attendees will learn about NASA-developed technologies that have already impacted our world and many more innovations that have the potential to effect positive change. The event will feature hands-on entrepreneurial workshops, an interactive technology showcase with New York Institute of Technology Entrepreneurship & Technology Innovation Center students, and real-world success stories from entrepreneurs who have successfully launched NASA-based innovations.
